Carbon Conversion factors (sometimes called ‘greenhouse gas conversion factors’) are used to calculate a Carbon Footprint. Carbon conversion factor values for the UK are calculated and provided by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). Defra update these conversion factors annually.
